This sanctuary is located as close to the Montezuma waterfalls as one can stay, a leisurely 10-minute walk, which is reached by a private path. Along the way you will likely encounter howler and white-faced monkeys, toucans, and a rainbow of other birds, pizotes, a myriad a butterflies and the wonder of local flora.
Surrounded by untouched green space between the Montezuma waterfalls and the Gulf of Nicoya, Sunshine Sanctuary is a boutique hotel catering to those who seek to immerse themselves in a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. This exclusive 6 room property is anchored by a 150-meter walking bridge suspended over a deep jungle ravine. No one ends up here by accident. Those who do will enjoy breathtaking views from each room, the sound of both the waterfalls and waves crashing on the beach, breakfast in the cafe, our yoga shala, clean modern rooms, pool, hot water, AC, cable, fast, reliable WIFI, a community kitchen and free entry to the Montezuma waterfalls.
